The EpiCenter is a multi-departmental initiative to support epilepsy-related research and training both around and outside our campus.
Our center includes faculty numbering more than 25 leading scientists from a wide range of disciplines including medicine, biological sciences, pharmacology and engineering.
The UC Irvine EpiCenter is considered among the top research epilepsy centers in the country, and enables one of only two NIH T32 epilepsy training grants in the United States.
Our vibrant seminar series hosts prominent national and international speakers at the frontiers of epilepsy research.
Special international symposia arranged by our center provide an excellent opportunity for epilepsy researchers from across the world to interact and learn from each other.
For graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, we offer the course Epilepsy: A Window to Understanding Brain Plasticity, which covers basic themes in epilepsy research and is taught by some of the leading scientists in the field.
Whether you are a scientist, clinician or a student, we hope you find our website useful, and we hope to see you taking part in our many activities.
