
HOPE Research Award
Applications will open in Fall 2025
The Honoring Outstanding Progress in Epilepsy (HOPE) Research Award honors the achievements and potential of remarkable trainees specializing in epilepsy research. It is presented annually to one graduate student or postdoctoral fellow. Recipients are awarded $2,500 to support career advancement and are invited to give a lecture at the Annual EpiCenter Symposium.

To apply, please use the online submission form below. Each application should include the following information (as a single PDF):
• Applicant’s CV or biosketch.
• A 1-page personal statement describing your commitment to, and achievements in, research, scholarship and mentoring others.
Selection criteria
• A strong commitment to critical thinking, rigorous science and innovation in neuroscience research.
• A passion for advancing our understanding or treatment of epilepsy.
• An excellent track record of research performance and professional development,
highlighted by notable achievements such as publications, grants, or individual awards.
• A commitment to supporting others in both the epilepsy field and the wider neuroscience
community
A nomination committee will evaluate all applications, and the winner will be announced in January 2026.
