Join us in making an impact

Thank you for your interest in supporting the UCI EpiCenter. Your generosity provides vital resources to train the next generation of physicians and scientists, to advance cutting-edge basic neuroscience discoveries, and to innovate in the areas of drug discovery and repurposing, gene and cell therapy and integrative health.

Your philanthropic partnership supports education, clinical and laboratory research and advanced training in the areas of pediatric epilepsy / neurodevelopmental disorders, acquired / post-traumatic epilepsy, and other epilepsy-related health conditions.

Thank you for your support

Building on a generous lead gift for the planned 215,000-square-foot Falling Leaves Foundation Medical Innovation Building, we are now offering naming opportunities for transformative initiatives, like the EpiCenter, and for associated spaces within the medical innovation building that will bring multidisciplinary innovators together in their relentless quest to discover, teach and heal.

The EpiCenter has been selected as a top fundraising priority through a highly competitive process based on its acclaimed status to uniquely drive the frontiers of innovations to improve health, retain and attract international experts and educate future leaders. In this process, transformative initiatives that are successful in raising the necessary philanthropic funds will have the opportunity to locate and grow in the Falling Leaves Foundation Medical Innovation Building. Please consider joining us in our quest to cure epilepsy through the UCI EpiCenter.

Available naming opportunities include:

Named UCI EpiCenter Endowment

When you join us as a philanthropic partner naming the EpiCenter, you will forever link your legacy to UCI’s distinguished experts. Ultimately, advances in epilepsy research will lead to innovative therapies for millions suffering from epilepsy. Philanthropic funds for endowed chairs, research and scholarships live in perpetuity. They create the ability to recruit and retain top-tier faculty who are critical to the EpiCenter as a world-class center of excellence for treatments and cures. Endowed chairs are so powerful because they establish a perpetual annual support stream for the chair holder to focus their effort on aspirational research.

Research endowments provide continuous support for the EpiCenter investigators who are reshaping the future of epilepsy science and healthcare because external grants cover only a portion of costs. Moreover, endowed funding is particularly important to underwrite the most innovative discoveries and novel strategies for treating epilepsy and its symptoms because it provides the flexibility to follow the science that leads to breakthroughs. All this important work will be done under the name of our philanthropic partner. Named endowed scholarships underwrite the training of future generations of lead investigators and care providers in perpetuity.

Named Space Within the Falling Leaves Foundation Medical Innovation Building

The overall design of the Falling Leaves Foundation Medical Innovation Building allows UCI to foster dynamic alliances that move epilepsy discovery from inspiration to practice. There is the opportunity to name the new home for the EpiCenter, as well as custom-designed laboratories and gathering spaces, to provide the capital that will allow the center to be in the building.

Please join us as we make our vision of a medical innovation building a reality.
